The Band
Family band playing folk and traditional Irish music.
A show that combines the finesse and intricacies of two extraordinary fiddlers, with the foot-stomping entertainment of an Irish pub. The Men of the House are a band you're sure to remember, and want to see again, and again. This group brings together traditional Irish music, American fiddling, and a splash of folk, to provide an unforgettable show.'
Michael
Michael is the soul and energy of this band. He drives the music with his foot stomping, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, and guitar. Michael has the rare combinations of emphatic vocals and precise musicianship. He has been playing music since he was 5 and been performing since he was 11. Michael is now studying Evolution, Zoology and Anthropology at the University of Florida in Gainseville. Ask him what he has in the jar in his freezer.
Coty
Coty is the shy and yet creative member of the band. He strives for technical perfection and dynamics. Although Coty likes to remain anonymous, his musicianship keeps the whole band going. Coty has been playing since he was 4. He plays the fiddles and various recorders. His melodic voice rounds out the harmonies. Coty's personality is a complex mix of intelligence, common sense, attention to detail, and commitment. He is a down-to-earth, with a strong sense of responsibility, especially with regard to family and close friends. Coty is a junior at Edgewood. He is hoping to attend University of Florida and study in the pre-professional program for Dentistry.
